Southern Regional Directors

Jennifer Moore

Jennifer is the Southern Regional Director and the Coordinator for the Adaptive Sports & Adventures Program (ASAP) in Charlotte, NC. ASAP hosts 10-12 adaptive sports and recreational opportunities for those in our community with a physical disability giving them a chance to enjoy the sport or for some, compete.  ASAP’s water skiing program has been in existence since the mid 1990’s, it is by far our largest program, pulling skiers from across our region.  The youngest water skier is 3 years old and the oldest into their late 60’s.  It is through our weekly program that I was introduced into 3 event skiing and the competitive side of water skiing.  ASAP’s competitive skiing has grown tremendously with the support of our local NC Water Ski Association.  It is a very exciting time for water skiing at ASAP!

Gregg Stokes

Gregg Stokes’ waterskiing career started at Sarvis Skis in 1976-1980, where he sold water skis and associated equipment. Sarvis Bass, the owner of Sarvis’ Skis, became a mentor and worked with Gregg to improve his skiing to the point he began to enter local tournaments. From 1976-1993 Gregg worked at Overton’s as a merchandise buyer and boat sales manager. He also continued to compete in state tournaments and became a tournament boat driver and judge for the state tournaments. He was a member of the Correct Craft Promotional Team, taking competitive ski boats to tournaments around the state of North Carolina. Gregg represented Jobe Water Skis for Jeff Jobe as he attended state tournaments.

In 2010 Gregg qualified for the 2010 INT US Championship for the first time. In 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, he competed in the INT Eastern Region Invitational Championships. He has competed in 2014, 2016, 2018 in the Adaptive National Championships.  In 2018 Gregg placed 1st in Men 5 Overall at the NC State Championship and competed at the 2018 Southern Regional Championship in 3-events, and qualified for the National Championship. Gregg currently trains with Seth Stisher at his training center in Charleston SC, and Chris and April Coble Eller at Coble Ski School in Lillington NC. He has met skiers of all levels, from world class to beginner, and he always finds common ground through his love of the sport. Through over 40 years of involvement in water skiing Gregg’s love and passion for the sport has not waned.
